About the Poem

The baggage we bring into relationships has to be dealt with, But if both realize the problem and are willing to work on making a new start, it might work. Just don't judge one by the other.

Perception

There is many a time
You seem to read my mind.
But in the end
You can't know what I intend.
Your view of my actions
Are clouded by your past attachments.

Your memory guides your comprehension.
If only you could change the definitions.
Erase the imprints on your heart.
Make a new start.
Allow me to ease your misery.
Let us make our own new history.

THIS IS SO AWESOME. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN STRUGLING REALLY HARD WITH THIS ISSUE FOR 4 YEARS. HE JUST CAN'T SEEM TO LET GO OF OUR PAST AND HIS PAST WITH OTHER WOMEN. I MARRIED HIM 4 YEARS AGO AND WE STILL HAVEN'NT STARTED OUR NEW LIFE TOGETHER YET, (AT LEAST IT DOES'NT FEEL LIKE IT)
