About the Poem

The heart and feelings of others are the elements that inspire me to new heights. To see through another author's work is to see into their heart. Ahhh! To hope that I can inspire others as I have been inspired would be a dream come true.

Tender Render

The tender render from your pen
picked me up and took me in
clamoring the recesses of your mind
that I could only hope to find

Within your quill
I feel the thrill
of life colored with your ink
Take me on to life beyond
living on your brink

Drop me on the shoreline
of your castle's built so fine
Let me feel the ocean's roar
tide surging from you forevermore

Lift me to the mountain crest
view sunlight setting in the West
Melting snow on covered hills
unfurl now the daffodils

Spreading chestnut branches wide
shading all you feel inside
Rest with me in hammock made
between the branches of her shade

To the rill of valleys wide
babbling brook of your inside
Enjoin me in the searching foray
of knowing just what you will say

Etched with ink upon my heart
scenes you've stroked will not depart
You have writ upon my soul
tender render of your unfold

Share with me your joy so tender
painted with your indelible render

Beautiful poem. and I share your dream. If only my poetry would touch one heart, I would be satisfied.
