About the Poem

There is nothing worse than forgetting who you are . . .

In Search Of Me

There is darkness now,
where there once was the glow of a shining star.
The glow has faded, for I no longer have my guiding light.
I know only where I have been, for where I'm going I do not know.

I have no destination . . .
I wander aimlessly. A shell of my former self . . .
My reflection holds no resemblance of who I use to be . . .
I must go in search of myself . . .

To seek and find the light once again . . .
