About the Poem

When you find yourself in a rage a side of you comes out that no one, even you, recognizes. This poem was written after an episode where my feelings got the better of me and I hurt a very dear friend.

Poison

Words that need to be spoken should not accumulate inside.
The hurt, pain or jealousy a person feels can not hide.

Sorrow and anger can be and will be suppressed.
But this only leads to a person feeling depressed.

Anger is a deadly toxin in which the body it flows.
When it takes over limb by limb, everyone knows.

The body - The mind controls and manipulates.
As the poison enters the veins and circulates.

When the poison reaches the heart it's too late.
Disastrous emotions take over such as revenge and hate.

The antidote to cure these emotions, is not so hard to find.
We must search to learn to control our spirited bodies and minds.

the poision that you have mentioned in this peom that everyones has in their hearts for others as this is a competitive world, no one can see the ohter coming up in life. To be frank i have experienced this very poision in my life for the first time from my very best friend, though i have forgiven her i can never forget the poision she has in her heart for me. this greives me alot.

this is so true i totally understand what this poem is like. I mean day by day you see teens today fighting with each other about nothing, and they dont exactly care on who is, or how much the words they say can totally, effect one another. Then they regret on how they had done it, but its too late.they already lost a part of their friendship.

Thanks 4 writting this poem, because you have found such a great synoum 4 anger and rage I thank you for the passion in which you write so deeply inside yourself.Anger is just like a posin it can destroy everything just like a posin does to your body and like when you said it's 2 late when it gets to the heart anger will destroy you.

Anger is poison and it doen destroy and sometimes, sadly, it is when its too late to control. I have a short temper and to hear this poem helps me relize how truly damaging anger can be unless controlled.
