About the Poem

I am a born romantic and whenever I read a romantic novel I wish desperately that I could find a man like one of the heroes in my romantic books.

I wrote this poem as a tribute to someone out there who I have not had the privilege of meeting, but if and when I meet him I will tell him these things.

A Tribute

A tribute to my heart, who made me feel all the feelings I have for you,
A tribute to all my dreams, which guided me towards you and made them come true.
A special thanks to my sight, for gazing inside your heart,
A tribute to all the seasons, for comforting me during the time we were apart.
The winds, for blowing my messages to you despite rough weather,
The clouds, for wandering with my thoughts and blending together.
My youth, for making me see life's color being blended in various ways,
To my memory for preserving all my adolescent days.
To the leaves of a tree, for leaving behind its innocence and maturing with me each year,
I am forever grateful for the hardships it had to bear when rough weather was near.
To all the places where you and I met,
To the moonlit sky, where we often gazed at.
To the stars , for shining the brilliant color that they are,
For making me realize, that you are near me even though you were so far.
To the cascading drops of a waterfall,
For meeting the rivers and oceans just to pay you my visiting call...
