About the Poem
My boyfriend lives halfway across the country from me, and I always miss him. One night, I had a dream about him and I woke up remembering only one part of it: the way his eyes looked when they were studying my face. This poem is about that.
Inclination |

Beautiful brown Glazed with emotion Naked Stronger than the strongest words More potent than the deepest kiss More encompassing than the scent of expensive cologne Adoration spilling from them like droplets of rainwater from a flower petal Passing no judgment Drinking in the simplicity before them Heart commanding that they see nothing but beauty Imperfection doesn't exist here. |
