About the Poem
To be in love with someone, your feelings become their feelings, your thoughts become their thoughts. To be apart from your love, you must be able to feel their presence even when they're not with you physically. Imagination and remembrance help to make their absence easier. Being one with each other is what true love is all about. This poem describes being away from each other, yet still living as one soul.
Together We Are One |
by Andre Willis |
Close your eyes and see me. Reach out and I am there. Feel my heartbeat in your chest. Run your fingers through my hair. Your strong hands on my body. A whisper in my ear I can see you. I can feel you. Even though you are not here. Without you there'd be nothing. And I could not see to see. Together we are one. It's no longer just you or just me. |
