About the Poem
There was a girl at work who, at first, I never paid much attention to. One day when she walked by my desk, she smiled at me and that smile was what inspired me. I've written her a number of poems, and this is one of my favorites about a day when she was gone.

The brush of your hand across my arm sends happiness exploding throughout me. The swish of your hair as you walk by enriches the air with your sweet scent. I gaze deeply into your eyes, enchanted by their beauty, captivated by their unspoken words, unable, unwilling, to turn away. The coy grin on your face contentedly, completely takes its place within my heart, my mind, my being. Yes, a day without you is not worthy of the name. |
