About the Poem

Desire is lust and love together, in perfect respect. This is about an upcoming or possibly past dancing experience. I would like to undergo what is felt in my poem. Also in part, this is dedicated to a special person I had the pleasure of dancing with (when I learned how to swing dance).

Dancing With Desire

Put your hand in mine
I will lead the way
Push through all the people
I hope you feel the same
The twinkle in your eyes
The light foot in your step
I can see a future
No tears will be wept
So here we are
Among the crowd
Looking at each other
All honors have been bowed
Feel the beat and music
Which lead you to my way
Me busting moves, you shaking your behind
It's almost like . . . a fairy tale
How things all worked out
I will never know
This I know for certain
My eyes have begun to glow
The song starts to change
You lean in real slow
Lights reflect your face
True beauty - it shows
My lips they ache
I can sense you have guessed
So then the lights dim
And the moment I have longed for -
Oh that perfect kiss
