About the Poem

I've been married for over 25 years to the same wonderful woman. Her name is Kathy. We have two grown children, both girls, named Carrie and Holly.

I wrote this poem for my wife just before our 25th wedding anniversary.

Moments

I cherish the times we have together,
It seems they are so few.
Words cannot express the love I feel,
In moments shared with you.
Your skin so soft to my touch,
When in my arms you lay.
I wish at times the night,
Would never turn into day.
I've lied awake at night,
Just to watch you sleep.
The moon reflecting off your face,
I look at you and weep.
I often wonder in those times
How you've stayed with me.
I guess there are some things
That are just supposed to be.
The sparkle in your eyes,
The glow upon your face.
Tells me without a doubt
None could take your place.
The first kiss I get each morning
Lingers throughout the day.
'Till the last kiss I get each night,
As off to sleep we drift away.

When I read this poem it reminded me that you love someone so much you want to spend the rest of your life with that special someone. I have found that someone is name is xaiver when I met him it was love at first sight, now it seems like we could have the chance of a lifetime together. I rate this poem 10/10 I also cried of how many times I cry myself to sleep.
