About the Poem

Often we come across someone who touches our heart and opens a door to our emotions deep within. We find feelings within us, that we long to express but know we can only dream of an opportunity to share. Although we forever long for the chance.

A Day Closer

Soft clouds of white go passing by me
floating across the sky slowly
watching them lifts me upward to a higher place
where I can dream of my love for you.

The sun beats downward
throwing its golden hues across my path
putting a warmth inside my soul
Making the love I feel for you forever present in my mind

The nighttime brings the twinkling stars
creating a tapestry of lights shining across the night sky
The love I feel ever present as I lay my head down
and wait for another day to bring me closer to you.
