About the Poem
After years of careful avoidance, two platonic lovers finally become one. Years of tension are dissolved in one second, and even if the next day they will never see each other again, in some way they will always be together.
One Moment |
by Roberto de Biase |
I feel the craze of music. A piano blasting notes in all directions, and slowly taking them back. Candles all around to illuminate the full moon’s shadow. Lost, drowned in glasses of sweet wine my bed has seen you here and gone. Never the truth has smelled so good. Never your eyes have said so much. Never, in one minute, a wall of silence could be broken. Of your rose only the smell, of your skin only the silk. What a night to say Farewell. |
