About the Poem
This poem was written for my boyfriend at the time. It seemed that every time I would try and tell him how I felt, he wouldn't hear. Finally I gave up and he just sort of drifted away from me, like my words that he never heard.
Whispered |
by Julie Rowsey |
My words left unspoken untold and alone left as a secret, written in stone. Whispering with the wind, through ears that don't hear. Will one never know how I love thee so, dear? To think is to speak, as breath is to air, forgotten in time, left in despair. When life is determined by the beat of a heart, the truth will be spoken, and with a kiss, we'll depart. |
