About the Poem
This does not even come close to describing how I feel about my best friend, Courtney, but it's a start. We only met 9 months ago and already she has taught me so much about myself and how important it is to give love and respect to others as well as yourself. I hope I have been as good of a friend to her that she has been to me. We are apart for the summer and I miss her so much and I can't wait to be with her again

OMG. I met this guy who is an awesome friend of mine. I was sick for a couple years and never really got to see alot of what the world is now. When i met him he showed me everything. my parents sent me across the country because thye thought by friend was a bad influence on me. and this poem sums up every feeling that i have toward my friend. the best peom is the kind that does that. that makes you feel like there's someone out there you feels like you do, even if the senarios are different. this is one of the best poems i have ever read. and i thank the author for feeling th esame way as i do. if not, i would have felt completely alone.

This poem touched me very deeply. I just finished my first year of college and during that year, I met the greatest friends I could ever ask for. This poem fits perfectly with the relationship I have with my roommate. She became more than just a friend. She is the only one that truly knows me. Lindsey, I know how you feel. I am really close to my best friend we are like sister's. We have had our ups and downs and our "Big fight" this year but I think it just brought us closer together as friends. Today was my last day of school I am a sophmore(supposed to be a junior but I dropped out my freshmen year)and this is my last year going to school because I am leaving again to get my G. E. D because I don't have enough credits to Graduate. And it is really hard saying good-bye to a best friend/sister. I already miss her a lot. My 2nd Freshmen year we started writing letters to each other everyday and I saved everyone of them and yesterday was the last letter we wrote to each other. i understand this poem completely. my friend jessica was closer to me than my sister was/is. i used to live like 25 minutes away from, until i had to move.now i live 3 hours away, and i can't visit her. the days seem so long when i can't just call her up and say "hey what's up?" it's really hard being without her, because i used to go to her for advice and stuff, and now i can't. but, i guess it's for a reason.maybe a blessing in disguise or whatever. i just loved your poem though, and i wanted to tell you that you're not the only person who misses or has missed her best friend
