About the Poem
I fell in love with a girl... We remain friends, and here I stand with my rose waiting to fall in love again. If I can.
The Rose |
by Stanley Naber |
I had a rose, To which I held for years, And I finally decided to pass it on. But when I did it withered and grayed, The petals slowly fell, And it was passed back to me. Then things went back to the way they were. So here I stand holding a rose, That I don't want anymore. |
