About the Poem
This poem describes a peculiar, some what haunting dream I had one night. I woke up quite startled and grabbed my pen and paper and wrote it down. To my heart and soul . . . Tom . . . I love you
For The Love of a King |

Like the gentle hush of the ocean, on a calm and dampened night, she reaches out to touch him, drowning in the light . . . . She looks upon and wanders along the windy pier, reaching out to touch him, knowing he's not there. Then slowly something beckons, turning her around, she looks abroad and sees that there is no one to be found... . . . She shivers in the moonlight, brushing off the sand, hearing gentle whispers, calling her from land... She knows the voice, familiar, she looks around to see her king right there beside her, awakening her sleep... |
