About the Poem

My first two years of college were spent studying Commercial Art, so maybe it's not surprising my mind would turn to such a familiar subject when my heart was breaking.

The Art Of Love

Paint a portrait of my Soul
And you'll find it's only Black and White.
The color faded when you did.

Paint a portrait of my Heart
And you'll find it has no Depth.
It lost its perspective when I lost you.
