About the Poem

This is about how fast love can change and how blind we can be and not see the way things really are.

Not A Tear

This is not a tear.
This is my love for you,
My sorrow for us,
And my hatred for me.
It's tragic that
Whatever we would've had
Has slipped away,
Out of reach.
I try to recall
The moment I realized
I was in love,
and the moment I realized
I wasn't.
This world I was in
Lay within my head
But reality has slapped
Me in the face.
This is not a tear.
It is my sorrow for me,
My love for us,
And my hatred for you.
