About the Poem

I am enchanted with the sea and the oceans and write many poems about them. As to seagulls, I just love them! they are most graceful when in flight but best of all, they are survivors!

Sea of Destiny

Seagulls sparkle in the wind
Like diamonds in the sky,
They dip and soar and ride the crests
Of waves, that roll on by.

My ship they follow on the sea
And guide me through the storms,
To reach my quest and keep me safe,
A seeker, not forlorn.

With open eyes I follow blind,
The seagulls leading me,
Until I reach, what I must find,
The sea of destiny.

Very well written poem and very easy to read. It just flows as you read it. Just like the sea gulls riding the wind.

This is a wonderful poem. It made me cry in its simplicity. Because I am having surgery on my heart in a few days, the words of Wolfgang touched my soul. The person who created this poetry is a child of the Universe. I gladly submit this poem as my favorite. I would love to see more of Wolfgang's work. Thank you for sharing your words.
